I grew up in New York City and received my B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1990, and my Ph.D. in Social and Personality Psychology from the City University of New York Graduate School in 1995. I received my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University in 2000.
I am currently a professor of psychology at Valencia Community College on the East Campus. Courses I have taught include General Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality, Psychology of Prejudice, Psychology of Women, and Drugs and Addiction. I also serve as a faculty advisor to the Psychology Club on the east campus of Valencia Community College. I am also an adjunct professor at Stetson University where I teach in the Graduate program for Marriage and Family Therapy.
In addition to my passions for psychology, teaching and helping people, I am an avid quilter and butterfly gardener. I have a lifelong love of animals, reading mysteries and traveling.
